Autumn Art
In Lower Foundation Stage we have been looking at autumn
colours. The children used a range of different techniques to record these
colours and pictures.
Printing
The children painted leaves using a range of autumn colours.
They then printed onto paper using the leaves.

Children mixed red and yellow to make a colour they would like
to use.

Wax Crayon Rubbings

Children placed a leaf under their piece of paper, held the wax
crayon on its side and rubbed carefully over the leaf so the image of the leaf
appeared on the paper.

Collage
Children made large autumn leaves.

Children used a range of different collage materials including
tissue paper, crepe paper, pipe cleaners, beads, leaves, wool, foil and many
more things.

Children were encouraged to think about the colours that were
being used to make sure they were autumn colours.
