Our Bodies – Making skeletons

To consolidate our understanding of the human skeleton we constructed our own version of the skeleton using art straws.

We cut the skull and pelvis from card.

We used thick and thin art straws to represent the bones.

We examined our own bodies to work out where the bones went and how many bones were in each part of the body.

Doing all of the bones in feet and hands was impossible, but we tried to give a good impression of what is really there.
