School Centenary Balloon Race

Nearly a thousand balloons were released on Tuesday 27th June in the school playground as part of a centenary balloon race.

The race raised nearly £500 for the schools centenary fund.

There were prizes for the three balloons which flew the furthest.

· 1^st prize mobile phone with £20 credit

· 2^nd prize 0² Rugby Shirt

· 3^rd prize Chocolate Fountain

Seven balloon labels were returned to the school. The first three prizes were awarded to the following.

1^st prize went to Wilma Hackett with a ticket sold by Bethany Hackett the balloon traveled 46.6 miles.

2^nd prize went to Agustina Alfonso with a ticket sold by Angel Alfonso the balloon traveled 46.1 miles.

3^rd prize went to Joanne (WSC) with a ticket sold by Nathon McMahon the balloon traveled 44.6 miles.

Thank you to everyone who took part in this event, the balloon launch raised £485.50 towards the centenary fund.
