Record Keeping
Detailed
record keeping helps to maintain a precise educational ‘picture’ of the child,
to inform planning and to help other professionals who may need to work with
the child. Members of staff keep detailed records of each child comprising:
·
Half termly teacher
assessments for reading, writing, maths and science, linked to learning
objectives
·
Samples of writing
(levelled)
·
ICT Records (Ref DEA
Awards)
·
Baseline Assessment
Results
·
Reading Age Assessments
·
Spelling Age Assessments
·
Reading Records
·
Optional & Statutory
SATs Results
·
Annual Reports
·
Special Needs half
termly IEPs (Individual Education Plans) as appropriate
Continuous
records of the children’s progress are also kept and this enables staff to
provide continuity and progression between classes, for each child. Written
reports are sent annually to parents, and these reports, along with the two
Parent Consultation Evenings, held each term, provide parents with information
on attainment, progress and the social and emotional development of their
children.
