Children should not be on the premises
until 8.40 a.m. when members of staff will be on duty. Entrance to the school
should be made via the rear door through the quad area. Foundation Stage and
Key Stage 1 children should go immediately to their classrooms where they will
be supervised by staff. Key Stage 2 children should enter the hall, remove
their coats and join in the ‘Wake Up Shake Up’ session led by staff. Every
endeavour is made to make the children road safety conscious. Children must always cross Ayresome Street with
the school crossing patrol person and line up behind the barrier.
Parents’ co-operation is asked for in the
matter of road safety outside the school.
There are times when your child will be
understandably late for school. However, we do stress the importance of your
child being on time for school. This leads to a settled start to the day and
does not embarrass your child nor does it disrupt the first lesson. It is the
duty of all parents to ensure that their children arrive at school on time.
They should arrive at least 5 minutes before school starts. Records are kept of
children who are late and parents are contacted if this becomes a persistent
problem.
